Introducing our specialised golf coaching program tailored for children aged 5 to 12. Our expert instructor is dedicated to nurturing young talents in a fun and supportive environment.

With a focus on fundamentals, technique, and game strategies, your child will develop essential skills while enjoying the thrill of the game. Sessions run throughout the year

Kippie’s 9 hole golf course offers enjoyment and a challenge to all golfers.

With its easy-walking but challenging layout, it is great fun to play.

Our Academy Practice Area includes a five bay floodlit driving range which is open from 9am until 9pm every day.

We also have a fantastic five tier putting green with up to 60 yards of pitching area.

There are also four bunkers to hone all sand shots.

After a successful Amateur golf career playing out of Aboyne Golf Course and representing the North East District Keil turned professional in 2005.

In 2008, Keil graduated from Birmingham University with a degree in Professional Golf specialising in Coaching.

Since graduating Keil has been continually working on improving his coaching skills.

He has coached European Tour Pro Laura Murray to tour success and a number of other talented youngsters to national and international victories.

Keil has been coaching at Kippie since 2013 and has greatly expanded the Club’s coaching programme.

Aberdeen Petroleum Club Golf Assocation is for members of Kippie Lodge.

APCGA members become members of Scottish Golf and can gain and maintain a handicap.

APCGA is organised in three sections, Ladies (APCLGA), Men’s and Juniors.

The Kippie Mens 18 golf section is 50 years old, having been established the year after Kippie was opened. Originally set up to meet the needs of itinerant oil workers who were unable to join a golf club in Aberdeen, it allowed Kippie members to play golf at a range of golf courses in the North East of Scotland.

Since those early days of Kippie, hundreds of members have joined the golf section and played with members as and when they were available. We organise approximately 30 outings throughout the golf season and a range of singles and partner knockout competitions.

We pay guest fees at all of the courses we visit and the majority of our competitions are played on a Friday and count for handicap purposes. End of year highlights include Scotland v Rest of World and annual prize giving.

As a full member of Kippie you are entitled to play the golf course at Kippie and membership of the mens 18 is in addition to this entitlement. Cost for 2025 is £60 paid to the Mens 18 golf section and includes membership of Scottish Golf with corresponding playing rights.

Ladies Golf Section Kippie Ladies Section is a thriving golf section with a friendly group of ladies.

Re-established in 2016, we have between 60 and 70 members of all levels ranging from complete beginners to experienced golf.

Everyone starts somewhere – we all remember what it is like to start golf and we are very welcoming to all abilities.

Improve your handicap and play a mixture of fun and competitive games at Kippie’s home course.

We also enjoy regular outings throughout the season.

The Kippie Men’s 9 Hole Golf Section is a social group of men who golf on the Kippie Lodge course on Saturday mornings and Wednesday mornings/evenings throughout the year. Golfers of all abilities are welcome. The Kippie Golf Section is a great place to practice your old or newly acquired golfing skills in a safe and non-pressured environment. The group allows Kippie Members to meet and play golf with other Kippie members followed by a cup of coffee and a Bacon Roll (other beverages and food are available)

The Annual fee for joining which covers registration with Scottish Golf is £50 for season 2024/25. The fixture list is shown below on the notice board and includes Kippie outings which are optional.
All members are eligible to obtain an officially recognised golf handicap by submitting 6 approved cards around Kippie 9-hole course.
