Summer Camp

Kippie Kids Camp 2021

After such a challenging year, Kippie wish to improve the wellbeing of our children over summer 2021.  We are delighted we will be delivering holiday activities for 5–10-year-olds.  Giving them the opportunity to connect through play, being active and enjoying themselves!  We will boost their confidence through an inclusive, positive experience via sports, expressive arts, crafts, outdoor learning, and hopefully trips and visits (TBC).  We will continue to have enhanced hygiene and cleaning processes in place, as well as limit children’s contacts by managing reduced cohorts’ sizes, we are fortunate we can maximise use of Kippie’s fantastic estate and outdoor space and by providing plenty of access to fresh air.

Every week

Kippie camps are unique and provide a different theme across each week of the school holidays to entertain 5–10-year-olds.   The camps make full use of the fantastic Kippie surroundings and facilities including our: Greenhouse, tennis courts, golf putting green, driving range, studios, squash courts, the lawn, creche, outdoor play area, allocated swimming sessions in the pool on Tuesday PM and Thursday AM and will be based in the exclusive camp marquee.

There are no additional charges for extended hours: a full day session is between 08.30am and 5.30pm and includes snacks, drinks, and a meal.  Unfortunately, at this stage, AM or PM only sessions are not available to help control cohort exposure during this time.

We pride ourselves on the camp Ratios, these ensure a fun and safe experience for everyone, at all times. One instructor is assigned a group of 6 children and we endeavour to group the children into appropriate age and or ability groups. In the past, the highlight of each week has been known to be our day trips, we hope to be able to offer these again this year e.g. including tubing at Alford (TBC).

WEEK 1 (w/c 28th June) – Fun & Fitness

Starting the holidays off with lots of fun! Our first week of camps will include getting to know you, games, sports and fitness. The kids can even try their hand at yoga and aerobics, and maybe even design and take their own fitness classes! We also have some craft and design challenges planned.

WEEK 2 – (w/c 5th July) Animal planet

This week our camp will focus on animals from all around the world! Get the chance to come to camp dressed as your favourite animal and play games and take part in activities themed around different animals.

WEEK 3 – (w/c 12th July) Superheroes

2021 will be a year to remember as we continue to pay tributes to all our superhero Key Workers. Come to camp as your favourite superhero, designing your own new superhero and thanking our superhero key worker members will just be some of the fun included in this week. Superhero Sports Day will also be on the cards!

WEEK 4 – (w/c 19th July) Games Week

Take part in traditional playground games such as Hide and Seek, Tag, and Splat as well as getting the chance to create your own game for everyone else to play!

WEEK 5 – (w/c 26th July) Around the World

We may have travel restrictions in place for holiday this year, but the children will get to travel to a different country each day as they explore some of the world this week, landing back home with their very own Highland Games. They will have fun while learning about the different cultures through games, sports and crafts.

WEEK 6 – (w/c 6th August) Super Silly Messy Week

The title says it all- prepare to get messy this week with super sports, silly games, messy crafts, funny races and water fights!

(Please note a full change of clothes may be required daily)

WEEK 7 – (w/c 9th August) Kippie Olympics

Our very own 2020 Kippie Olympics will end the summer holidays with a bang! Your little athletes will be designing their own teams including names, kit, flags and mascots, and with sport quiz’s, athletics and healthy competitions crammed into this fun last week of camps, the teams will battle it out for a medal and end their summer on a high 🙂
