Since the lockdown began in April your membership fees have been reduced by 50% and the management Committee would like to express their thanks at all the members who continued to pay their Kippie membership. Without your continued support the Club would not have survived.
The Club is gradually reopening, and more and more facilities are coming back online. The Club is now able to offer a larger food and beverage service, both indoors and outside. Our marquee on the lawn is proving popular. The hair salon is open again and is very busy. A limited beauty service will be offered from 22nd July, bookings are now being taken. The golf course is very busy and to ensure that the course condition is maintained we now have the full team back to work.
As the Club returns to normal the overhead grows, the additional costs of COVID mitigation, be that reduced capacity or increased cleaning and chemical costs put a burden on the finances. The Committee have therefore had no option but to increase your membership subscription. From August the reduction in membership fee will be reduced from 50% to 25%. Thus, the family membership Direct Debit will increase from £69.38 to £104.06. All other membership categories will be calculated pro rata and details are displayed below. The members who have paid in full will be compensated to the full extent in 2021, the management Committee will inform this group on how they will be compensated soon.
The management Committee will decide upon the fee from September onwards once more information is given by the Scottish Government. We are very hopeful that the gym and pool will reopen in August, albeit with social distancing and cross infection mitigation measures in place.
From Monday 3rd August, the Club will be participating in the Government’s ‘eat out to help out’ scheme, This scheme will provide all members with an automatic 50% discount (up to a maximum of £10 per person) on all food and nonalcoholic drinks from Monday to Wednesday for the month of August. There will be no minimum spend and no limit on the number of times a member takes advantage of the offer. The scheme includes coffees, meals and any soft drink. We hope to be very busy during this period so please remember to book your table in advance.
Once again, the Committee would like to thank you all for supporting your Club through this unprecedented time and look forward to being able to offer a full service again soon.
