Construction Works – Starting Friday 22 May
SITE PLAN
We would like to inform all members about the forthcoming construction works and what to expect on site.
Tennis Access Changes
- Court 3 will be closed on Friday 22 May to allow completion of a new access path. (Number 1 on the map) There will be full access to tennis court 3 throughout the construction period.
- This new path will run from the dome side fire exit, around the back of the dome, and into Court 3 via a newly installed gate.
- This route is outside of the construction area and will provide a safe access point for tennis players.
Please note:
- A secure fence will separate the construction zone, which is restricted to authorised staff only.
- Additional fencing will prevent access beyond the dome door, making the new rear gate the only entry point for Court 3.
Site Traffic & Parking Disruption (Friday 22 May)
- There may be short-term disruption on the road passing the Kids Zone (crèche) due to delivery and positioning of a portacabin.
- Exact timings will be communicated once confirmed.
- Parking spaces directly in front of the dome and opposite will be closed for construction staff use. (Number 2 on the map)
Golf Course Access & Safety
- A designated path to the 8th tee will be introduced and clearly signposted. (Number 3 on the Map)
- Fencing will be installed near the 9th hole—please take extra care when playing shots in this area.
- The site will operate under a strict hard hat policy at all times.
For play adjustments:
- A drop zone for affected shots will be marked out next week by the Golf Professionals and Head of Grounds.
- New path exiting Hole 9 joining up to the path to the Sports Complex front door. (Number 4 on the map)
- Further details on its exact location will follow shortly.

- Follow all signage and instructions
- Respect restricted areas
- Exercise extra caution around construction zones
